Comic Con Cape Town 2027 tickets will go live on Howler later in 2026, with the pop culture festival confirming a major venue move to CTICC 1 and event dates of 24 to 27 April 2027.
The announcement, made on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, marks the most significant logistical change in the event’s short history, according to Comic Con Cape Town.
Capitec returns as headline sponsor for a second consecutive year, extending its support of a festival that has established itself as one of South Africa’s largest gatherings of gaming, cosplay, anime and entertainment culture.
What to expect at Comic Con Cape Town 2027
The 2027 edition builds on a 2026 show that drew approximately 34,000 fans across four days at CTICC 2, making it the biggest edition to date.
Moving to CTICC 1 places the entire event on a single floor, a direct response to feedback from attendees who found multi-level navigation across CTICC 2 difficult during peak hours.
The expanded capacity creates more room for exhibitor stands, guest areas and brand activations, positioning 2027 as the most ambitious edition yet.
No specific attendance target has been confirmed, but the organisers have indicated the new footprint supports growth beyond the 34,000 mark set in 2026.

Show Director Carla Massmann says the transition to CTICC 1 is about building a better foundation for what has become one of Cape Town’s most anticipated annual events.
The decision was driven directly by feedback gathered from fans after previous editions.
“This move represents an important step in the continued evolution of Comic Con Cape Town. CTICC 1 allows us to build a more seamless and accessible experience while expanding what we can offer to fans, exhibitors, and partners. It is a direct response to community feedback and supports the long-term growth of the event,” Massmann said.
The single-floor layout eliminates the congestion between halls that frustrated attendees during peak hours at CTICC 2, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays when the event is at full capacity.
The expanded footprint also creates space for Capitec Super Fan Pass activations and larger guest engagement zones.
