A female resident experienced a horrific encounter with armed gunmen in the wee hours of Sunday, 12 June 2022 and the entire ordeal was captured on CCTV.
Watch: Woman attacked in vicious home invasion
Details around the incident are still very sketchy at this time. The victim’s condition remains unknown and at the time this article was published, information was still being gathered on the incident.
According to metadata found on the CCTV footage, the unidentified woman was viciously attacked at a residence, at approximately 02:20 on Sunday morning. The video footage shows at least five armed men involved in the home invasion.
One of the suspects had a firearm pointed at the woman and instructed her to open the door of her black Mercedes Benz. The woman could be seen in great distress inside her car.
When she refused to comply, another suspect approached the vehicle with a machete and handed it to his gun-wielding accomplice, who used it to smash the driver’s window.
A third suspect appeared with an assault rifle, presumably an AK-47 and forced the woman out of the car. In a spine-chilling moment, the defenceless woman was seen pleading with the suspects, as she was hauled out of the camera’s frame and into the property by five men.
The video footage cuts off soon thereafter.
It remains unknown what happened to the woman. We will return with more updates as soon as more information trickles in.
