The Woolworths Mother’s Day range covers a wide spread of categories. In fashion, options include soft-touch crew neck cardigans and luxury cashmere jumpers.
The beauty range features the Distraction Luna Kiss Eau de Parfum, the Distraction Luna Kiss Shimmer Mist, and the full Distraction Gift Set, alongside the Botanicals Soak and Scrub Set in Mandarin and Basil scents.
Food and confectionery highlights include themed biscuits, a Floral Tray Bake and Berry Tea Cakes.
Flowers and plants form a strong pillar of the range. Woolworths notes that 90% of its flowers and plants are grown in South Africa, making them a locally sourced and typically fresher option compared with imported alternatives.
The range includes arrangements designed for display at home rather than short-life cut-flower bunches.
The retailer is also running a social giveaway linked to the #WooliesMothersDay hashtag on its South African social channels, with a R2,000 gift card in play across platforms ahead of the weekend.
Beyond Woolworths: other options before Sunday
Spa vouchers, restaurant bookings and experiential gifts have become firmly mainstream for Mother’s Day in South Africa, with demand for Sunday brunch reservations in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban typically outrunning availability in the final days before the event.
