The ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ prequel put Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper on a Paris street on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, and the fresh set photos handed fans their first proper look at Danny Ocean’s parents.
New images from the shoot showed the pair strolling through the French capital in character, as reported by Just Jared. Robbie wore a chic cream mini-dress topped with a black hat, while Cooper kept it easy in a light-blue polo shirt and navy trousers. Very stylish criminals.
Cooper did not only star in the film. He directed it, co-wrote it and produced it, which meant the Paris shoot had him switching between playing one half of the Ocean parents in the frame and running the whole operation from behind the camera.
What the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ prequel is really about
Fans got the premise earlier this year, and it landed the way a good heist pitch should.
The story reached back decades before the Vegas job that made Danny Ocean a household name, to the two people who taught him every trick in the book. Robbie said at CinemaCon:
“Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows, his parents. You’ll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.”
So the job was not Vegas, it was Monaco, and the year was 1962. Grand Prix weekend, vintage cars, old money and a couple who knew exactly what they were doing. If that does not sell a ticket, nothing will.
Who else showed up on set with Margot Robbie
Monica Barbaro joined the party the same day, wearing a pink suit and filming a scene alongside Robbie.
The fellow Oscar nominee had already been photographed working with Cooper on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, so she had been clocking serious hours on this shoot.
The rest of the call sheet read like a film festival line-up, with Wagner Moura, Josh Gad, George MacKay, Omar Sy and Vicky Krieps all confirmed for the cast. The film was still going without an official title while cameras rolled in France.
Not that Robbie needed the reinvention. Her turn as Catherine Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights dominated streaming charts earlier in 2026 after a strong run in cinemas, so trading brooding Yorkshire moors for a Riviera heist marked a fairly sharp pivot in her slate.
When the Ocean’s Eleven prequel arrives in cinemas
Warner Bros. Pictures locked the release for Friday, 25 June 2027, which left plenty of runway for more Paris sightings before then. A fourth chapter of the original franchise was also in development, with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle and Casey Affleck expected back in front of cameras from October 2026.
