Lori Harvey and Michael B Jordan left heads scratching when news of their split surfaced online, but fresh rumours circulated by sources close to the ex-couple suggest Steve Harvey’s step-daughter may have been the reason behind the breakup.
Lori Harvey is reportedly the reason behind Michael B Jordan breakup
News of the latest ‘black’ Hollywood couple split was first reported by People, and days later, the celebrity publication returned with updates from sources close to the situation about the reason behind the breakup.
Turns out, at least reportedly, anyway, Harvey was the one who initiated the breakup, and not due to a lack of commitment from Jordan’s side.
No, the Creed star did not cheat on Harvey while she was away at the Cannes Film Festival earlier in May, as it’s been suggested on gossip forums.
According to a source, Harvey simply “wasn’t ready to commit.”
“She is very focused on her career. She still wants to have fun and be free. Michael is a great guy. She is sad that their relationship didn’t work out, but she is moving on” the source added.
Jordan has yet to formally address the breakup, albeit he did create a buzz online when he made an appearance at the NBA Finals fixture between the Golden State Warriors and Bolton Celtics earlier this week.

The last time the couple was seen in public as an item was in March 2022 when they showed up at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills, California. When Harvey turned up at the Cannes festival in Paris, France, alone two months later, speculation — which turned out to be spot on — was rife about a possible breakup.
Harvey, not known to address matters of her romantic life in public, has yet to utter a word about Jordan.
