According to Eskom, this week’s interruption is a necessary step to conduct vital maintenance on the distribution power lines in the area.

“In the interest of safety, customers are advised to treat all electrical appliances as live at all times during the power supply outage,” Eskom noted.

The power outage will specifically impact customers in Protea Glen Extensions 22, 24, 28, and 44, on Friday, 25 August 2023.

The interruption will begin at 09:00 and is expected to last until 15:00 on the same day.

During this period, electricity supply to the specified areas will be temporarily suspended to facilitate the maintenance work.

In the interest of safety, Eskom advises all customers to treat electrical appliances as live throughout the duration of the power supply outage.
