According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), severe thunderstorms are expected in northern and western KwaZulu-Natal, central and southern Limpopo, and parts of Mpumalanga.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are predicted for the central Northern Cape, southwestern Free State, and the Lowveld of Limpopo.

Eastern Cape
The western half of the Eastern Cape will be partly cloudy and cool with isolated morning showers along the coast, clearing to fine conditions over the interior by late morning. Winds along the coast will shift from moderate to fresh south-westerly to moderate south-easterly by the afternoon.
The eastern half will see partly cloudy and cool weather with isolated showers and rain south of the escarpment. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, turning moderate south-easterly in the afternoon.
Free State
The Free State will experience partly cloudy, windy, and cool to warm weather. Isolated showers and thundershowers are predicted, becoming more scattered in the extreme east.
Gauteng
Gauteng will see cloudy skies in the morning, shifting to partly cloudy and warm conditions with scattered showers and thundershowers. The UVB sunburn index is expected to be high.
KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal will experience cloudy and cool weather with isolated showers and thundershowers, becoming scattered in the north and west. The northern region will be warm. Coastal winds will be fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly, reaching near gale force in places in the morning. The UVB sunburn index is moderate.
Limpopo
Limpopo’s weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers. However, these will be isolated in the extreme north.
Mpumalanga
The province will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with scattered showers and thundershowers.
North West
Expect partly cloudy, windy, and hot conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers. These will be more scattered in the north-eastern parts of the province.
Northern Cape
In the Northern Cape, it will be partly cloudy, windy, and warm to hot, with isolated morning showers and thundershowers in the east and north. The west and south will remain fine. Coastal areas will experience strong southerly to south-easterly winds.
Western Cape
The Western Cape will be cloudy to partly cloudy in the east and along the south coast initially, with morning light rain along the south coast, then turning fine and cool to warm. However, it will be hot in places over the West Coast District’s interior. Coastal winds will be strong south-easterly, shifting to light to moderate easterly to south-easterly along the south coast, strengthening in the afternoon. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
