Nota Baloyi is famous for his explosive outbursts and brutal honesty, and on Tuesday, 18 October 2022, things got a little heated between him and JMPD officers.
Nota Baloyi blasts JMPD officers on IG Live
Baloyi went on Instagram (IG) Live to blast the metro police for failing to relieve congestion at an intersection with faulty traffic lights on William Nicol Drive in Johannesburg.
In a video that was posted on Twitter, he yelled:
“You canβt stop me, Iβm doing what I want. Iβm showing you that you donβt do your job. Iβm making you famous,” he said, “shut up, wenaβ¦.I donβt need to work, Iβm not like you. I finished matric, you are a fool! Why are you wearing a badge for minimum wage?β
Moreover, he ridiculed the JMPD officials’ appearance before threatening to sue the officer who tried to take his phone, saying that she was “a disgrace” to her family.
“You disgrace your familyβ¦.sies!,” he said.

Nota’s outburst clearly angered the police officers, as one of them replied:
“Youβre not right in the headβ¦you need helpβ¦Go wash your face.”
If you think that the drama stopped there, think again. After leaving the scene, Baloyi continued on his IG Live rant, calling out the EFF for “being scared of the cops.”
“If the cops give you problems, call me. Don’t call EFF, call me. EFF is scared of the cops. These cops been abusing their power for too long, itβs time somebody abuses power back. Power to the people! Taxpayers are taking the power back,” he said, visibly upset.
Again taking to his Instagram, Baloyi recorded and posted a video of himself rapping what sounds like a rendition of Tupac’s Hit ‘Em Up in the background. In the video, he continuously teases the police to “arrest” him.
“Arrest meβ¦ Out now on TikTok!” he captioned his post.
“Letting hobo’s direct traffic. Letting hobo’s direct traffic. Nah man,” Nota says before the video ends.
Baloyi’s IG Live meltdown comes months after he shared his thoughts about Anele Mdoda. In August 2022, he threatened Mdoda in a tweet, telling her that she was living on borrowed time for showing Moshe Ndiki support in his ‘Musa Khawula‘ saga.
The public reacts to the Baloyi’s outburst
Nota’s outburst caused quite a stir on social media. Some Twitter users were shocked and alarmed by the controversial commenter’s tirade against JMPD officers. Although, others questioned why the metro police did not intervene in response to the entertainer’s outburst in public. See their reactions below:
