Clavicular, the 20-year-old “looksmaxxing” streamer whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged with rape in Massachusetts over an alleged incident at his family’s Cape Cod home in May 2025.
According to The Bulwark, which first reported the charges on Monday, 21 September, Peters faces three counts: rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse and supplying alcohol to someone under 21.
The criminal complaint was filed on 8 September at the Orleans District Court.
A judge found probable cause on all three counts on 4 September, according to court records reviewed by IBTimes UK. Peters has not been arrested. A summons was issued instead, and he is scheduled to be arraigned on 14 October 2026.
What is Clavicular accused of?
The charges relate to an alleged incident on 23 May 2025 at the Peters family home on Cape Cod.
The rape charge falls under the Massachusetts law covering intercourse where a person is “compelled to submit by force and against their will”.
Both the rape and drugging counts are felonies, while the alcohol count is a misdemeanour.
A rape conviction in Massachusetts carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and requires registration as a sex offender, Mediaite reported. Peters has not entered a plea, and the statement of facts filed with the complaint has not been made public.
Who is the accuser?
The criminal case appears to be linked to a civil lawsuit filed in Florida earlier in 2026 by a female influencer.
She alleges she was 16 when she met Peters, and that he paid her $1,000 (about R17,500) to film videos with him before arranging an Uber to his parents’ Cape Cod home.
In the lawsuit, she alleges Peters served her excessive amounts of alcohol at a house party and had sex with her on two occasions without her consent. The criminal docket does not confirm the link between the two cases.

Peters’ attorney, Steve Kramer, has rejected the allegations.

Who is Clavicular?
Peters rose to prominence in 2025 as the face of looksmaxxing, an online subculture of young men chasing physical attractiveness, sometimes through extreme methods such as “bonesmashing” facial bones and steroid use. He streams on Kick and has hundreds of thousands of followers across platforms.
His profile has made him a regular on major podcasts, and he has been the subject of coverage in The New York Times and The New Yorker. It has also brought repeated run-ins with the law.
A year of legal trouble
This is not Peters’ first brush with police in 2026. In February, he was arrested at a bar in Scottsdale, Arizona, on suspicion of drug possession and using a fake ID.
In March, he was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on a misdemeanour battery warrant linked to a filmed fight near Kissimmee, Florida.
The Massachusetts case is by far the most serious he has faced. Peters is presumed innocent, and his first appearance before the Orleans District Court on 14 October is expected to set the course of the case.
