Cape Town rap crew Not Pop Gang has released a brand new project titled Session 2.
Who is Not Pop Gang?
If you are looking for club bangers or bubblegum raps, then this alternative music may not be for you. In their own words, the crew is the offspring of Odd Future, Pro Era and the Flatbush Zombies.
“Each individual brings their own flavour and characteristic to the group and with each of them having a musical background pursuing the music production course at [the] Soul Candi Institute Of Music and going on to teach it. It was only inevitable that something was bound to happen amongst the individuals.”
Not Pop Gang
A dash of weird drum percussions, mixed with hard-hitting raps from the likes of A.C.E, Psynapses and Seven, to Lakei, culminates in an 18-track project that is a vibe, to say the least.
