Carla Jeffery is dead at 33. The actress who played Bree in Disney Channel’s Zombies films died on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, and her talent agency broke the news on Instagram.
Jeffery’s death was announced by Alexanders Talent Management, the agency that had represented her since she was 12, as reported by TMZ.
No cause of death was disclosed by the agency, and that detail has not been confirmed at the time of publishing.

Jeffery signed with Alexanders Talent Management when she was 12 and never left, and the Instagram post that carried the news to the public did not read like an agency notice at all. The statement opened without ceremony:
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery.”
From there the agency wrote about watching her grow up in front of it, tracking a child actor who became a working performer with a Disney Channel franchise to her name. Alexanders Talent Management put the span of that in plain numbers:
“For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.”
The agency then dropped the professional framing altogether. Jeffery had never been a name on a client list to the people who booked her work, it said, calling her “more than a client” and, in the end, “family”. It closed the post speaking to her directly rather than to anyone reading over its shoulder:
“Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten.”
Who Bree was in the Zombies films
Jeffery played Bree in all three films, starting with Zombies in 2018, then Zombies 2 in 2020 and Zombies 3 in 2022.
Bree was an aspiring cheerleader at Seabrook High who befriended Addison, and she stayed part of the group as the Disney Channel musicals kept going.

Milo Manheim, who played Zed opposite Jeffery’s Bree across the trilogy, posted a tribute that made no attempt to be anything more than what it was. Three short lines, no performance in them, written the way people actually write when they are winded.
He posted:
“Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you.”
Chandler Kinney, who played Addison in Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, posted her own tribute in the same lowercase register, describing someone she could not line up with the news she had just been handed. Kinney wrote:
“the brightest shining light in any room she walked into. the kindest person you’d ever meet. the most beautiful soul. this doesn’t feel real.”
Eight years on from the first film, Seabrook High had already collected a generation of viewers who worked through the trilogy on repeat, and the messages piling up from the cast said more about Jeffery than any credit list could.
Bree kept to the edges of that world; the tributes suggested Jeffery did not.
