A new Ina Garten podcast, Happy Hour With Ina Garten, got its first trailer on Friday, 28 August 2026, shot in the ‘Food Network’ star’s New York apartment kitchen ahead of a northern hemisphere autumn premiere.
The weekly interview series was produced with Vox Media, and the first trailer went out as an exclusive before landing on Garten’s Instagram, as reported by PEOPLE.
Guests will be drawn from the worlds of culture, food, art, entertainment and sport.
What the Ina Garten podcast is actually about
Garten filmed the show inside the kitchen of her real New York City apartment, not a set dressed to look like one. The pitch was simple enough: pour something good, sit down with an interesting person, and let the talk run the way it would at a great dinner party.
In the trailer, her husband Jeffrey Garten walked in and asked what she was doing, and Ina’s answer worked as the whole brief for the series, no industry jargon required, and it landed in the register her audience has followed for decades:
“I’m inviting someone to our apartment, we’re gonna have a delicious drink, and we’re gonna sit and talk, and it’s gonna be really fun.”
Jeffrey Garten gets the first bourbon sour
The delicious drink was not left to chance. She opened the project with a bourbon sour inspired by the South of France and shared it with Jeffrey in the trailer, which was about as on-brand a launch as anyone could have scripted for her.
Jeffrey, for his part, handed over his blessing in one short line, and anyone who has watched the couple over the years would read it as high praise from a man who spent decades being filmed eating whatever she put in front of him:
“If you wanna do it, it’s great.”
The couple have been married for more than five decades, and Jeffrey became an accidental co-star across her Food Network years, turning up for dinner and doling out compliments. Casting him as the first person to taste-test the format was a neat way to tell viewers this show was not a reinvention.
