Netflix is putting Kevin Hart in the hot seat on Sunday, 10 May 2026, when The Roast of Kevin Hart streams live from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, bringing the biggest night of the Netflix Is a Joke festival to screens worldwide, including South Africa.
The event is the grand finale of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which has taken over more than 45 venues across Los Angeles between 4 and 10 May. It is available on Netflix across all subscription tiers, meaning SA viewers with any Netflix plan can watch.
Who is hosting the Kevin Hart Netflix roast
Shane Gillis is your roastmaster for the night. The stand-up comedian hosts what Netflix has described as a “raw and ruthless night of live laughs, with no edits and no safety net.”
Jeff Ross, widely known as the Roastmaster General, serves as executive producer alongside Casey Patterson Entertainment.
As for who will actually roast Hart, Netflix has not officially confirmed the full lineup. The only confirmed names so far are Hart and Gillis.
