Rapper Latto confirmed on Friday, 29 May 2026, that she welcomed a baby girl with fellow rapper 21 Savage, embedding the reveal in her fourth studio album Big Mama, which dropped the same day amid speculation about her future in music.
The album, released through Streamcut and RCA Records, arrived with 17 tracks and features from Jelly Roll, Doja Cat, Sexyy Red, GloRilla, Mariah the Scientist, Teyana Taylor, Odeal and Wizkid.
As reported by Billboard, Big Mama follows her 2024 project Sugar Honey Iced Tea and is her most personal body of work to date.

The baby’s gender was revealed through Mama, the album’s most intimate track, which features an assist from Jelly Roll.
Latto had first announced her pregnancy in March 2026 in the music video for Business and Personal (Intro), where 21 Savage’s hand rested on her baby bump as she rapped, “Car seat, got a kid on the way.”
Fans quickly made the connection between Mama and the birth of her daughter. Latto confirmed the news shortly after release, sharing photos alongside her newborn on social media and revealing that 21 Savage is the father through a video chronicling her pregnancy journey.

That position shifted during a subsequent Apple Music interview. “I wouldn’t say I’m retiring today,” she said. “Talk to me next week again, I might say, ‘No, that sh-t was for real’.”

She said she had been having “good days and bad days” and that she had “kind of underestimated” what postpartum life actually involved.
