Zayn Malik has cancelled all United States tour dates on his 2026 Konnakol Tour after being hospitalised last month, reducing a planned 32-show run to just nine dates as he continues to recover from an unspecified health issue.
The former One Direction member confirmed the cancellations on Friday, 1 May, with ticket holders for affected US dates eligible for refunds through their original point of purchase, as reported by Billboard.
In addition to the US shows, dates in Dublin, Glasgow and Birmingham have also been dropped from the schedule.
Which dates will still happen
Malik will continue with shows in London and Manchester later in May, followed by a three-date run in Mexico before an October leg across South America.
The Konnakol album, released on 17 April 2026, is the project the tour was built around. The album title draws from the South Indian rhythmic verbal tradition of konnakol, and the record marks a significant departure from Malik’s earlier sound.
A source speaking to People magazine said Malik has been consulting “the No. 1 cardiologist in the world” and is “still working through his health issues.”
No specific diagnosis or medical condition has been confirmed publicly. In his own statement, Malik said he had been recovering at home and that he would be “better and stronger than before.”
What happened during the hospitalisation
Malik was hospitalised at an unspecified point in April. The nature of the illness has not been confirmed publicly, and no official medical statement has been issued. TMZ reported the hospitalisation on 1 May, alongside confirmation of the cancellations.
The scale of the pull-back, from 32 shows to nine, suggests his medical team has advised against the physical demands of a full touring run at this stage.
Refund timelines for cancelled shows will vary by ticketing platform. Fans holding tickets for the London and Manchester dates have been told those shows will proceed.
For South American ticket holders, no changes have been announced. The Konnakol Tour, even in its reduced form, marks Malik’s most sustained live campaign in years.
Whether the nine remaining dates are enough to maintain momentum for the album will depend in part on how his recovery progresses over the next few weeks, and on whether any further adjustments to the schedule become necessary.
