‘Palworld 1.0′ has a release date at last, with developer Pocketpair confirming the survival hit leaves early access on Friday, 10 July 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
The studio locked the date in at Summer Game Fest 2026, as reported by Game8. The 1.0 build marks the full launch of a game that shifted millions of copies in early access after its surprise debut in 2024, drawing both huge crowds and heavy scrutiny.
When is the ‘Palworld 1.0’ release date
The release date is Friday, 10 July 2026, and it lands on every platform where the game is already playable, meaning PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. There is no staggered rollout, so console and PC players step into the finished version on the same day.
Existing players do not have to wipe their worlds to move to 1.0, so the hours already sunk in are safe. Pocketpair still reckons a fresh start is the better way to feel the changes, but that call is left to each player rather than forced by the update.
The timing is no accident. July 2026 is stacked with releases as studios rush games out ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6, and Pocketpair is planting its flag early in that window rather than risk being drowned out later in the year.
What the ‘Palworld 1.0’ update adds
This is the biggest content drop the game has seen. The headline addition is a major new region built around a World Tree, plus a second large island. Together they roughly double the playable landmass compared with the map that shipped at the 2024 launch.
There are more new Pals than any previous update has added, along with fresh weapons, armour and gear.
A new Wing Pack gives your character more movement options, and more Pals can now transform into weapons mid-combat, leaning further into the creature-collecting-meets-shooter mix that made the game a talking point.
Under the hood, the progression systems get a significant overhaul, changing how players climb through the game.
The Tower Boss Battles have also been reworked to feel more dynamic, a nod to fans who wanted the set-piece fights to carry more weight by the time 1.0 arrived.
The countdown now runs to Friday, 10 July 2026, when Palworld finally sheds its early access tag.
The bigger question is whether the full launch keeps hold of the audience that drifted off after the initial craze, or pulls lapsed players back for another run.
