Was Young Dolph shot and killed? – Here’s what we know

Reports coming from US media confirmed that a shooting took place on Airways Boulevard, inside Makeda’s Cookies.

At the time this article was published, Memphis police had cordoned off the area, collecting traces of evidence left by the shooters who, at this juncture, are unknown and presumably still at large.

Details of the shooting are still murky at this time. However, reputable news sources have confirmed that Dolph was, indeed, fatally shot at a local store in his hometown..

Here is video footage of the shooting scene, captured by eyewitnesses.

Young Dolph’s career as a successful indie rapper

Born Adolph Robert Thornton Jr on 27 July 1985, the Get Paid rapper hailed from Chicago, Illinois. Dolph, however, always claimed Memphis, Tennessee as his hometown since he moved to the city with his family at the age of two.

Dolph, it’s believed, was a sibling to two sisters and two brothers. He was also the cousin of the late JuiceWRLD.

This is not the first shooting incident the rapper has been involved with, in his rap career.

In 2017, hot on the trail of the southern music industry with hit singles Get Paid and Cut It on the circuit, Dolph was targeted in a shooting that took place in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Miraculously, the rapper, struck multiple times and picked up by emergency officials in critical condition, survived and recovered well.

However, that this time around, he was not that fortunate.

Here’s how social media reacted to the news of Dolph’s passing:
